To My Beloved Second Missionary Baptist Church Family
What a year it’s been
At the beginning of this year, not one of us looked over the horizon of 2020 and predicted such difficult times for our world, nation, church, or our families.
Yet, “We have taken it one day at a time,” trusting and depending on God to help us make difficult but necessary decisions durning this season. I thank you SMBC for your patience and faithfulness as we continue to navigate these “Uncharted Waters” of a Global pandemic over these past nine months(March-December)
As 2020 draws to a close, it gives me great honor and joy to pastor the most impactful church on the planet! As we celebrate the season of Advent and look toward another exciting New Year, it is with Praise and Thanksgiving that we offer unto our Lord the best Praise and Worship that we have for bringing us through to see another year. We are wrapping up our “Church Business” and making plans to move forward to execute the needs of the church for the next appointment year of 2021
As we embark upon 2021, we have embraced the theme: The Year of “Being Position To Be Blessed By God.” 2 Cor. 8:7
This pandemic has indeed impacted our life together as a SMBC family, but we will continue to keep in contact with each of our beloved members and pray for your health/safety and well being. While we are looking forward to the day that we all feel comfortable to gather again for in-person worship and resume activities/events within our congregation without concern for restrictive social distancing or mask wearing, etc. it is extremely important that we encourage your continue faithful and gracious generosity, benevolence and financial giving support of our congregation as the Lord looks upon your efforts with great favor.
May each of your dreams, plans, visions and goals be developed as we walk together into a new season and level of spiritual growth and faith as we set our hearts and minds on the work that is ahead durning these still uncertain times. Praying blessing for all of us until we meet again “The Best Is Yet To Come”
