To my Beloved Second Missionary Baptist Church (SMBC)
What Another Year It Has Been
As 2024 draws to a close-“Year Of GOD Periodt”, it gives me real honor and joy to pastor the most Impactful Church on the planet. As we look toward another exciting new year, it is with thanksgiving and praise that we offer unto the Lord the best praise that we have for bringing us through to another year.
Have you ever been in a season where you can feel God is stretching you? He stretches our faith and our endurance, and even our natural ability. Why does God do this to us? After all, stretching is not a comfortable thing to go through, as it requires fierce determination.
So, if we are going through a season of stretching, it is usually in preparation for what is ahead. I do believe there is an increase forth coming for SMBC an increase of promotion and greater responsibility, as 2024 has been grounding our faith to face the challenges that will arise in 2025. At times it will be uncomfortable to go through the stretching season, but as we move into the next level of what God has for us, we will find it was worth it.
The Congregational New Year embracing the 2025 Theme: Comm-U-nity Ephesians 4:3 (ESV) eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Our 2025 focused ministry agenda will be three-fold
- Youth Development (continued partnership with I.C.A.R.E)
- Missions (community outreach)
- Economic Empowerment (Financial Literacy)
May each of your dreams, plans, visions and goals be developed as we walk together into a new season and level of spiritual growth and faith as this process unfolds and manifest for God’s glory. May God bless you all as we set our hearts on the work. That is ahead.
